Role:
• Planning and execution of Lens Production, as per Production Plan

Responsibilities:
• Ensure Productivity, Quality and Delivery to Internal customers as planned.
• Do machine wise and person wise micro level planning based on the Production plan.
• Co ordinate with design engineer and ensure tool availability, drawings and Process sheets for all jobs.
• Perform root cause analysis for rework and rejection, decide and implement appropriate corrective action and preventive action (CAPA) to avoid recurrence.
• Co ordinate with maintenance team and ensure that preventive maintenance is done for all machines to minimize down time.
• Implement 5S in workplace.
• Implement statistical process control wherever applicable, and standardize use of Control charts such as X bar – R chart, Run chart etc.
• Plan and execute development jobs, as per Plan, without affecting regular production.
• Ensure that all persons working in the section adhere to all work place protocols for safety as well as cleanliness.
• Monitor and control attendance of employees working in the section and do their periodic performance appraisals and give recommendation to Optics Head regarding salary
increment, promotion etc.
• Co ordinate with Optics store and initiate timely request for raw materials and consumables in order to ensure smooth running of production.
• Prepare Quality Plan for all jobs, and standardize testing methodologies.
• Liaise With MR team and ensure that all measuring instruments and test equipments used in production are duly calibrated.
• Prepare weekly and Monthly Production reports indicating Plan versus Actual, and CAPA for jobs where plan is not achieved, and submit the same to Optics Head.
• Knowledge of “Zemax” Optics design software is a plus.

Desired Qualification: BE, B. Tech – Mechanical Engineering, M.SC – Photonics, M. Tech – Laser and Electro optical Engineering, M. Tech – Applied Optics.
Note : Work experience of at least 2 years in an Optics manufacturing organization will be an added advantage.
